Question:
What would be the costs of
licensing your engine design for an individual,
wanting to do small scale, non-profit research?
|
|
Answer:
Licensing
is only applicable to commercial applications. Individual
research and development are not objects for licensing.
Commercial
licensing would be up front fees, negotiated and based
on expected market, as well as a percentage of the
product sale.

Question:
We
would like to know if you have built any kind of
prototype of the Trochilic engine?
|
|
Answer: Prototyping
of some models are in progress.
Computer simulations have predicted design
functionality.
Our expectations are an unprecedented increase in
power to weight ratio over the reciprocating internal
combustion engine.

Question:
Are there
performance enhancements to the current trochilic engine
design?
|
|
Answer:
We are sure you will find the next generation, not shone
on our web page, more latent with
possibilities. The
objective is to convert larger percentage of heat energy
to mechanical, so that the exhaust gases do not exceed
120°f of ambient.

Question:
What
type of working fluid does the engine support?
|
|
Answer:
Working fluids can range from simple air, to any
non-reacting (inert) gas making the engine design quite
adaptive to most any applications.

Question:
How
many parts make up the Trochilic Engine?
|
|
Answer: We
have spent thousands of person-hours in the development
of our trochilic engine designs.
One of our foremost factors in development
processes was the simplicity to the manufacturing
statement and ease of engine assembly.
With only 20
primary parts and no screw,
the engine can be view as an engineering design marvel.

Question:
I
would like to discuss the details of your patent and
several ideas that I have with you.
|
|
Answer:
Trochilic Engines most
important characteristic is its intellectual property
rights. To
protect the latter, we cannot discuss Trochilic Engines designs,
drawings, engines, or other patentable ideas without a
prior understanding of the relevance to Trochilic Engines
and without having completed a confidentiality agreement
with the other party.
Trochilic Engines is not in the position to fund
ideas or designs of others.
We would consider a business proposal regarding
new ideas and their relation to Trochilic Engines
current technology, including reasons we should work
together.

Question: As
an engine enthusiast, can you provide me with
information on what it takes to construct a working
Stirling Engine?
|
|
Answer: Trochilic
Engines receives many requests from engine enthusiasts,
including among them model builders, academia, and avid
readers of the literature.
We regret that our Reach & Development staff
does not have the time to answer all specific questions.
We have, however, several links our site for the
enthusiasts. Our
links page offers a partial listing on Stirling
literature, small model demonstrators, antique engine
restoration, and other links of potential interest.
